America's Largest Single Ski And Snowboard Resort
Located in the heart of Park City, Utah, only a 35-minute drive from Salt Lake City International Airport, Park City is home to over 7,300 skiable acres with a good mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain. During Summer 2015, the Resort undertook the largest resort improvement project in the history of American skiing, one that linked it with neighbor Canyons Resort to create the United States’ largest ski area. Park City bustles with activities year-round with two distinct base areas, nine hotels, thrilling family adventures, and more than two dozen restaurants.
Park City is the largest ski area in the United States. With over 7,300 acres, 300+ trails, 38 lifts, seven terrain parks, 14 bowls, six natural half pipes, one super pipe and one mini pipe, plus many diverse ski-in/ski-out and village adjacent lodging properties, Park City is an easily accessible, world-class mountain destination located in an authentic & historic western town.
Deer Valley Resort revolutionized the ski industry by being the first North American resort to provide the first-class service one would receive at a five-star hotel. Deer Valley® offers luxurious amenities such as uniformed ski valets, groomed-to-perfection slopes, onsite childcare and gourmet dining in three elegant day lodges.
Deer Valley Resort provides the nuts and bolts of a great ski vacation including a variety of accommodations, lift ticket packages; an award-winning ski school; and the bounty of 300 annual inches of powder snow backed up by state-of-the-art snowmaking.
Rated one of the top three ski resorts in North America for the past 10 years in a row by the readers of SKI Magazine (including five consecutive #1 awards), Deer Valley Resort never stops trying to better the guests' ski experience.
Alta is for skiers only - no snowboards - and shares Little Cottonwood Canyon with Snowbird. Fortunate geography blesses Alta and Snowbird with more snow than other Salt Lake area resorts. Alta is great for no-nonsense advanced skiers, but beginners and intermediates will also find plenty of runs at their level. Alta is sometimes described as "steep, deep, and cheap," a skier's ski resort with not too much emphasis on dining or nightlife, although you can certainly find plenty of good food and drink.
Snowbird in Little Cottonwood Canyon is a hip, elegant resort and an advanced skier or boarder's paradise, with piles of Utah powder and acres of challenging terrain. Along with Alta, it gets more snow than any other Utah resort, with the season sometimes extending from October to May or even June. It's truly one of the best ski areas in the country and has repeatedly been rated number one in top ski magazines and websites. One tip: the ratings on Snowbird's runs are a little low - their greens would be other resorts' blues, their blues other resorts' blacks, etc.
Brighton is an SLC locals' favorite for its low prices, kids ski free policy, and popular ski school. Many Salt Lake residents learned to ski at Brighton, continued to ski or board there as high school and college students, and now take their own children for skiing and boarding lessons. Brighton has a great mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain. It shares Big Cottonwood Canyon with Solitude.
Solitude, in Big Cottonwood Canyon, lives up to its name with uncrowded conditions and untracked snow, especially in its famed Honeycomb Canyon. Like Brighton, the other Big Cottonwood resort, it supplies a good mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain. Solitude includes a small village.

The Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail State Park is a 28-mile, high-elevation trail that follows Interstate 80, from the charming streets of Park City through the smaller communities of Wanship and Coalville to Echo Reservoir. From a starting elevation of approximately 6,800 feet in Park City, you can cruise down the gentle 2% grade along Silver Creek for 14 miles through a narrow volcanic canyon. As the scenery transitions to wetlands and farms near Wanship and Silver Creek Canyon, a menagerie of wildlife—including fox, bald eagles, herons, moose, deer and beaver—often appears near the trail. The trail surface is primarily gravel, except for 3 miles from Park City north and a 0.5-mile section in Wanship. These asphalt sections are suitable for wheelchairs and in-line skaters.
After passing through the outskirts of Coalville, visitors will emerge at the bottom of Echo Reservoir, a Summit County water source and hotspot for recreational boating and fishing. Not only does the Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail State Park showcase the environmental diversity of this area, it helps celebrate the region's rich history.
The rail-trail follows the route of a historical railroad line that transported coal and silver ore during the region's mining heyday in the 1860s. To help commemorate this heritage, Summit County's Restaurant Tax Grant Committee provided the Mountain Trails Foundation with funds to place 16 plaques along the trail. These markers highlight the early Mormon settlers and ill-fated Donner family wagon train, the trail's intersection with the once-influential Lincoln Highway and the excavation site of Ice Age mammoths, among other historical sites and events.
The pathway may be relatively new, yet recreation has been the name of the game in Park City for decades, and the Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail serves as a connector to several hundred miles of technical mountain bike trails, single-track paths requiring more skill that zigzag throughout the area.

... chairlifts are just as good in the summer!
Park City’s world class ski resorts continue to run their lifts throughout the summer with a fast-growing sport in mind – mountain biking. With 400+ miles of Gold Level trails weaving through Park City’s high-elevation mountains, access to the lifts is the key to making sure you get the most out of your time on the saddle. Check out what each unique resort is offering, and make sure that you leave enough time to experience it all.
Within the boundaries of Canyons Village there are more than 20 miles of XC trails, an expansive lift-served bike park, and the Red Pine Gondola that drops bikers at 8,000 feet. Canyons Village offers quick and easy lift access to some of Park City’s most recognized trails. With the ten minute gondola ride, the famous Mid Mountain Trail is accessible to the full range of riders. As an IMBA-recognized Epic Ride, the Mid Mountain Trail is on a prestigious list of internationally notable “bucket list” rides.
The Bike Park
Canyons Village completed their bike park in the summer of 2012. With four different skill-level trails, and loads of features and jumps, the park is designed for riders of all ability levels. From the top of the gondola, the High Meadows lift runs throughout the day and drops riders at the entrance of the park. Lift laps are fast, easy, and available to riders of all levels.
With two lifts that run throughout the summer, Park City Mountain is a staple of convenient lift access to the mountain bike trail network. By taking Crescent Lift from the base of the resort, or Town Lift from the base of Main Street, you’ll find yourself centrally located amongst some of Park City’s most recognized signature trails. The high-speed 4 seat Crescent Lift, and 3 seat Town Lift all unload mountain bikers at access points for the IMBA recognized “Epic Ride” on the Mid-Mountain Trail.
Park City Base Area features an adventure zone, zip lines, Alpine Coaster, Legacy Launcher, Little Miners Park, climbing wall, and mini-golf. With dining and lodging options right at the base, Park City Mountain is a great family-friendly option that provides world-class mountain biking access.
Deer Valley was the first resort in Park City to put a concerted effort in to the development and maintenance of mountain bike trails. Deer Valley continues to be the center of convenient, well-planned lift access to the trail network. The traditional “start” of the IMBA Epic Mid-Mountain Trail is near the base of Deer Valley’s Sterling Lift and next to their Silver Lake Lodge.
With hiking trails, XC trails, and technical downhill trails, Deer Valley is the original web of diverse single track in Park City. Three lifts, two free bus access points over 8,100 feet of elevation, and the world class customer service that is the hallmark of one of North America’s top ski resorts, make Deer Valley an incredibly versatile starting point for a mountain bike vacation.
Park City Golf Club1541 Thaynes Canyon Drive
Park City, UT. 84060
Tee Times: 435-615-5800
Park City Golf Club is a popular golf course in the area as it’s located in the heart of one of the most well known mountain ski destinations in the world. Many locals love playing this golf course because it is municipally owned – which keeps green fees affordable – and management keeps the golf course in nice playing condition once the snow melts and golf season gets into full swing. First built in 1963 as a nine-hole course, this player friendly William Neff design was expanded to its current 18-holes in 1976, enhancing a classic tree-lined layout.
The golf course with small, fast greens and tight tee shots, will test better players. Higher handicaps or even beginners will enjoy a round at Park City Golf Club with playable yardages very few forced carries, and 360 degree views of the ski runs of Park City Mountain Resort and surrounding mountains. Many players also enjoy the higher elevation adds a few yards of distance to a well struck shot.

Wasatch Golf Course975 West Golf Course Drive
Midway, UT 84049
Wasatch Mountain Golf features a wide array of the best equipment and apparel in the industry. Our friendly staff will also help you schedule start times, rent golf carts, and register before each round of golf. An excellent selection of clubs are available too! We offer chipping and putting areas and a driving range.
The Mountain Course is a classic mountain-style layout, carved from natural mountain contours. The first 9-holes travel 2 miles up the mountain and the back 9-hole bring players back to the clubhouse. Because of the nature of the layout, there is not a 9-hole option on the Mountain Course and motorized carts are mandatory. Along the way players experience dramatic elevation changes, and breathtaking vistas of the Heber Valley, often catching glimpses of roaming deer, elk, wild turkeys, moose, and other wildlife.
Resting on gentle terrain, the Lake Course is often considered to be the easier of the two courses. It has several shorter par-5 holes, which require accurate tee shots to avoid well-positioned stands of mature trees that line the fairways. Its season-long pastoral beauty, with eight lakes and ponds, offer just the right setting and make the Lake Course a favorite of High, Low, and No handicappers. It truly has something for every level of player.

Soldier Hollow Golf Course1370 West Soldier Hollow Lane
Midway, UT 84049
Soldier Hollow Golf Course at Wasatch Mountain State Park is a 36 hole layout that opened in July of 2004. The course is the work of Gene Bates, who has designed other courses in Utah such as Green Spring, Riverbend and Old Mill. The two 18-hole courses at Soldier Hollow were designed with different clientele in mind, although most golfers can play either. They are named "Gold" and "Silver" to reflect the Olympic Heritage of the site.
Its layout sits at some of the highest elevations of the complex offering stunning views of the Heber Valley below. The Gold Course is a typical mountain or foothills course with significant elevation change throughout the course and dramatic elevation changes within each hole. The vegetation on the course mirrors the surrounding native area vegetation, scrub oaks and native mountain valley grasses.
The Silver Course is the tamer of the two layouts. It is an open, parkland style design. The Silver Course has slightly shorter and wider fairways. It is a par 72 that is composed of six par 5's, six par 4's and six par 3's. While flatter in elevation than the Gold, the Silver offers views of Mount Timpanogos that are stunning.
